Bring an Anti-War Veteran to Your Class
Categories: Uncategorized

We Are Not Your Soldiers brings veterans to visit classes, share their experiences and enter into dialogue with the students. They tell their own personal stories of how they were affected by their time in the military, bringing another vision of these wars in which so many have been sacrificed by losing their lives and/or their humanity. And, they address the effects on the peoples of the countries under attack and what has happened when social structures have been destroyed. Not many veterans can do this. You can read more about this project here.

Scheduling is under way for spring semester school visits by We Are Not Your Soldiers in the New York City metropolitan area.

Lyle Rubin, Afghanistan veteran, will be available during the week of March 9. You can find out about Lyle here.

Miles Megaciph, Marine veteran and hip hop performer, will be available during the week of April 27. See more here about Miles.

If you are doing a study of Vietnam, Vietnam veteran Joe Urgo is available throughout the semester on a more flexible basis as he lives in NYC. More about Joe here.

If you have any questions, let us know. Also, please let us know any particular areas of interest so we can connect the presentation to your curriculum.
