Ethan McCord Speaks at 2 Events in New York City

Prior to the premiere opening of the new film at the Tribeca Film Festival last weekend, “Incident in New Baghdad”, Ethan McCord and filmmaker James Spione spoke at Revolution Books on Thursday evening, April 21st. You can watch the video here. (Video by Kevin Gosztola)

Ethan spoke at length how he joined the Navy at the age of 25 after the events of September 11, 2001, and then wanting to see more action he transferred to the Army. He was on the ground during the Apache helicopter attack in April, 2007, and witnessed the carnage left behind as depicted in the video “collateral murder.”

Kevin Zeese, from the Bradley Manning Support Network, discussed the conditions of Manning’s detention, who was arrested one year ago and first held in Kuwait. Manning was tortured for 7 months as he was being held by the US Marines at Quantico Base in Virginia. Kevin spoke at Revolution Books and also in Staten Island.

On Saturday, April 23rd Ethan spoke at the Staten Island Museum to members of Peace Action Staten Island and others who came to hear about his account of what happened when an Apache helicopter killed 7 innocent civilians in Iraq in 2007, and the new release of the film “Incident in New Baghdad.”
